I’m really enjoying the layout and line work of this. Keep up the awesome work!
Hey Keith! Thanks for the compliments and for reppin’ me on twitter!
You’re making me want to check this manga studio out, Cat. Awesome looking stuff!
it’s definitely worth checking out, Tony! I think it takes the guesswork out of producing good black and white pages, for sure. Dave Gibbons uses it for color work, but I still love my Photochop too much to switch to something else for now.
The key is to not overuse some of the stock effects and finding the right balance. This has been my biggest challange. Some of the Japanese don’t even have a good handle on this, so I’m not *too* stressed about it, but I’m trying to walk a very thin line.
Hey Cat, I tweet only the best webcomics, which is basically just yours.
I tried out Manga Studio, I was having the hardest time with it so I went back to Sketchbook Pro for my pencils and inks. You seem to have managed to make it do what you want at least.
I saw that you RT’d my stuff today! Thanks!
Manga Studio is not very intuitive at all and there are a couple tricks to getting started that, once you learn them, makes learning the program a relative snap. But yeah, it’s been a few weeks now and I’m *still* learning new tricks every day.
I ate up a lot of my buffer messing with it, so I had to switch back to Sketchbook Pro which I love because of the simple and elegant interface.
