This is so sad. I really liked this strip and now it just died, not even an explanation. What happened?

    hey there eric,

well, truth of the matter is after the first print volume didn’t sell well i got a bit down and lost steam. i thought maybe the fact that i was building on older stuff i’d done (magic inkwell, whimville, salad dayz) to build up this new story might have lost most readers. the giant mechs seemed painfully derivative and i just couldn’t go on.

if you really did like the story and think i should continue, let me know. it’s not like i’ve given up completely if there’s actually people out there enjoying the comic. i DO have more to this story…

Well I got into your stuff completely as a result of YOTR showing up on some comic blog last year and I really enjoyed it. In fact it was one of the primary reasons I began to take web-comics seriously.

However, I would be lying if I said I bought a copy, and I totally understand the need to sometimes drop something that isn’t doing it for you anymore. Honestly it’s just good to know what happened.

Side note, the halftone shading technique you use still blows me away.
