Whoa, Dingbat doesn’t look bunnied any more! I think it takes more than a nightmare tho. Can a brain-bunnied head have a headache? (Or is it just one loooooong headache?)

BTW, I should tell you that when brain bunnies first appeared in your pages, years ago, they gave me nightmares. And the zombie bunnies came darn close. I’ve always had an irrational fear of … things … taking over my body, leaving my mind helpless. Yes, lots of SF stories have explored the concept, but your cute-in-a-malevolent-way bunnies really triggered something in me.

Wait! Is that the same bunny in panel 3 that attacked him? Did he come out for a breath of fresh air or something? Or do Mugsy and Bugsy have a supply of them?

    I know. Be patient.

I finally finished thumbnailing the last few pages earlier today! YOTR2 is officially written (if not completely drawn yet). :D

steve- it’s the same brainbunny. i still haven’t really written/drawn a scene with the “dismount” of the victim’s psyche. maybe it should be some horrific vomiting thing where the brainbunny comes out through the mouth inside out and kinda peels/folds out into place? um… O.o

ooh, wait, i just remembered. they just pop right out of the top of the head. that’s right… lol

it’s terrifying and wonderful to know that my lil’ cutesy brainbunnies caused such an anxiety in a reader. i always wanted them to be sorta iconic and fun. it’s no surprise that i haven’t been able to write them out of my stuff yet! I’m extremely flattered and super SORRY that they affected you this way.

if it’s any consolation: the zombie bb’s even gave ME nightmares, actually. and i was creating those pages at a time i was being eaten alive by bedbugs and didn’t even know it yet! :P

the end is near for this part of the saga…
does the story ever really end?

Aww…sucker punch. At least it seems the next part of the adventure is about to happen! The story never does end, so long as you keep writing/drawing it!
