A note of thanks and a head’s up
I just wanted to post a quick note of thanks to everyone that’s stopped by to read the comic and leave comments. Your encouragement and enthusiasm fuels my passion for comics! It means so much to me that you’re coming by to read the new strip. I’m working hard to bring you the color comics love three times a week without fail as long as you promise to keep coming back for more!
I also wanted to post a bit of head’s up to those out there that might be attending the MoCCA festival this weekend that I’ve got new comics in a couple of anthologies making their debut at the convention: The Sundays anthology and the second Trees and Hills anthology.
Sundays is a gorgeous 11×17 comic anthology in the spirit of the large broadsheet newspaper comics of yesteryear. The editorial staff consists of 6 students from the second class of The Center for Cartoon Studies: Sean Ford, Chuck Forsman, Alex Kim, Joe Lambert, Jeff Lok, and Bryan Stone and also features work by Andrew Arnold, Stephen R. Bissette (with the first TYRANT page in over 10 years!!!), JP Coovert, Ken Dahl aka Gabby Schultz (Ignatz winner), Colleen Frakes, Penina Gal, yours truly, Sam Gaskin (Xeric winner), Jon-Mikel Gates, Dane Martin, Sean Morgan, Morgan Pielli, Caitlin Plovnick, Adam Staffaroni, Rich Tommaso (8 1/2 Ghosts), Denis St. John, and Emily Wieja. You can read more about the Sundays anthology at their website/blog and pick up a copy at Table #A45.
The Trees and Hills anthology features the work of many talented cartoonists from New Hampshire, Vermont and Western Massachusetts. You can read more about it on their website and pick up a copy this weekend at Table #S32.
Phew! That does it from me. Back to making comics! Wish I was going to be in New York this weekend with all my pals but I’ll be there in spirit… or comics anyway…
