I wanted to post a quick note about my future update schedule for the comic.

Since starting my stint as a “working stiff” with a full time job last week I’ve fallen dreadfully behind on my buffer for the comic. I’m now working 40 hours a week at a very rewarding job at a local printer. I’ve also got a couple other super secret print comics projects on the backburner that are simmering nicely and I’ll hopefully be able to reveal to you all soon.

Unfortunately, I’m going to have to cut back to one update a week for the time being.

This was not an easy decision to arrive at, but a necessary one. I can’t afford to stay up late weeknights to work on comics and run the risk of being late for work or so tired that I can’t perform at top capacity. Also, I’d like to have a little time to work on other comics projects I’ve currently got in the works and spend adequate time with my family as well. The upside of all this is that the comic will return to “full page” updates, even if it is only once a week. The downside of this is that the narrative I’m currently working on will slow down to an almost unbearable crawl for a while. I hope that you will bear with me and continue to visit the site and read the comic. I do NOT plan to quit working on this story, I’m just too overwhelmed schedule-wise to devote the necessary amount of time to keep up with thrice-weekly updates. For the time being, I’ll be posting a new comic every Monday.

In other news, if you weren’t able to go to MoCCA and pick up copies of The Sundays Anthology or the new Trees and Hills Anthology “Field Guide to Cartoonists of Vermont, New Hampshire and Western Massachusetts” they are now available online!

You can purchase a copy of The Sundays Anthology, which features a one pager by me and a lot of great comics from many cartoonists from the Center for Cartoon Studies and the surrounding comics community at the I Know Joe Kimpel website.

The Field Guide to Cartoonists of Vermont, New Hampshire and Western Massachusetts is available through The Trees and Hills Comix Distro Website and features a four pager from me and a lot of great comics from some very talented Yankees.

I hate posting this note because I really wanted to be able to keep up with my three times a week schedule but I also need to make a living and I’ve landed a job I’m very happy with for the first time in many, many years. My obligation to provide for my family and finding some kind of professional satisfaction totally outweighs my pathetic “career” in comics. I can’t tell you how relieved I am that I’ve finally found a “real job” with good pay and benefits after so many years of financial struggle.
