It’s been a while since we’ve seen another good example of using the new technology to present comics and tell stories in a new way… then I found this link over at Scott Kurtz’s site (and two days late, too).
I never tried flash for comics, but it always seemed like a logical choice considering file size and all the options for real animation (and sound) that is more controlled and can be timed for narrative purposes. The possibility of adding user interface/interactivity to the reading experience that can be embedded within the comic/flash file’s structure is also quite tempting.
I’ve been working on something lately partly inspired by some of the animated installments from last year’s Year of the Rat strips. Should be posted sometime before tomorrow.
