The Curse of Wrigley Field and of the Bambino himself are both in full effect as Chicago and Boston are flooded with tears from the loss of their respective clubs. But fear not diamond dogs ... SummerMilk is back at SIMON SEZ Stadium for their normal Tuesday Night triple play! You'll be placed on the injured reserve list if you fail to make the scene October 21st, at Simon Sez, McAllen, Tx. from 7:00pm - 10:00pm.

Special SummerMilk shoutout to the Waugh's Nursery and STCC crews that have made the Tuesday night gigs a regular partay!

ATTENTION --- ATTENTION ---
There are only 4 dics left of the first run of Summermilk's Summertime Demo. They will be sold only from the stage so get them while you still can. While this demo is soon to be history, take heart friends --- the Valley Three are heading back into the studio in a few weeks to cut their next release. Due out in time to be in everyone's Hanukkah box, X-Mas Stocking, or Kwanza Basket!

Our apologies for the erratic web updates --- Cat Garza has been --- well... let's just say out of pocket. While recovering from internal injuries (origin unknown) Cat was heard saying,"I'm sorry. It'll never happen again. My ferret ate my homework."

Check out the pics from the last Tuesday jam and keep coming back --- it works!

Apart for seven --- peace.

Well! last night's gig at SIMON SEZ proved to be a great one for us. the turn out was spectacular and there were good vibrations shimmering in the air about the place. cat's old coffeehouse performing partner, songwriting collaborator, and ex-band mate from the short-lived MAKER'S MARK project austin colina showed up and they performed a bit of a "reunion set" during the second break. needless to say, they sounded pretty damn awesome and it looks like we'll be seeing more of him as he has agreed to join SUMMERMILK! welcome to the band, and we can't wait to see what comes of it all. the band would like to thank charlie of karma, who also came out and played between sets, mike, mr. john simon, and carol from SIMON SEZ for having us out. and of course, all our friends and fans that came out to see us play!

be sure to catch us at SIMON SEZ again on Oct. 7th when we return with our new member and a fistful of dynamite!! better be there!

SummerMilk would like to thank God above for the recent cold front that swept through the Valley --- the temp only rose to 96 instead of the 104's we've been having!

The Tuesday gig at Simon Sez --- incredible! More friends, old and new, were on hand to make the night a special one. the bad news is we will not be there next week (For you ladies --- male strippers are on the bill) --- the good news is that you can catch us for a new run of Tuesdays starting Aug. 26th, from 7-10:00pm. We are grateful to John, Mike, and especially Carol for making us feel right at home. We also ask all of you out there, and you know who you are, that want to share your acoustic talent to join us onstage for these gigs. Check out the new pics from the gig and last weeks Harlingen date in the galleries.

we hope to be adding some video, new schwag, and other goodies to the site next week --- so stay tuned.

also --- check out the weekly online-comic --- Cuentos de la Frontera @ moderntales.com --- it's an incredible strip that pushes Valley folklore into the arena of the paranormal and those chosen to combat it. It was created by Cayetano himself, and is now written by J.W. Whiddon --- not to be missed!

Hope this blog finds each and every one of you well.

See you in seven short rotations!

The battlefield is a fluid environment, as is the live gig scene of the RGV!

This past Friday, SUMMERMILK got the call from the Happy Hour Cafe, in downtown H-TOWN to play for their music hungry regulars (with only 86 minutes till showtime). The night just proves the axiom that the best work is always a product of extreme pressure.
The show was great, and they were asked back to play the next afternoon's MarketDays fest. The venue and the band got along so well that for the next couple of saturday afternoons (3:00 - 6:00pm) they'll be doing it all over again! SUMMERMILK asks all of the singer/songsters with a penchant for acoustica to get some stagetime during the show. Show up and play!

And their Tuesday night sets at Simon Sez, in McAllen, continue this week at 7:00pm (till 10:00). Please come on over and enjoy the tunes and great adult beverages!

New pics from the Harlingen gigs are up for your enjoyment.

Hope this blog finds you all well and full of joy!

see you in seven!
